Tanning Bed Facial Bulbs
High-pressure facial bulbs are used in tanning beds to deliver a pure, 100% UVA light source directly above the face. These bulbs are typically mounted behind blue filter glass, which helps protect the delicate skin of the face and neck while allowing effective facial tanning.
These 400-watt lamps contain NO harmful UVB rays and emit 100% pure UVA light only. For this reason, facial bulbs are often considered beneficial when used as directed. Due to the high-pressure cut-out construction technique, manufacturers are required to use a shorter bulb size (F59). The F59 lamp is 12 inches shorter than the F71, allowing all components to fit within the same facial frame size.
UVB Strength Options
Facial lamps are available in kits with four different UVB strength options, allowing users to choose the intensity that best fits their tanning preferences.
- 6.5% UVB: A bronzing-type facial bulb
- 7.5% UVB: A hotter facial lamp with a 15-minute maximum session time
- 8.5% UVB: A stronger facial tanning option
- 9.5% UVB Panther: High-intensity facial lamp with a 10-minute maximum time
